πŸ¦ƒ 🍽️ Love to Eat Turkey and take a nap

Published 7 months agoΒ β€’Β 4 min read

Issue #88

Good Evening

And what can I tell you? Thanksgiving is coming up and you can tell by all the turkeys at the grocery stores. By that I'm referring to us folks gliding through the isles with a full cart of food that's going to cost a fortune!

But while we are talking turkey, check out this song from Adam Sandler. "I love Turkey". Are you old enough to remember this when it aired?

All You Need For Fall

I often go to Christan Farms in Oakville. This is not a pick-your-own, but a country store I found one day while travelling across Winston Churchill.

Trust me, if you try and Google local farms, you'll never find this place. Most people have never heard of Cristan Farms.

Their country store had tons of varieties of apples and pumpkins. While there, I also bought a few other things like Apple Cider spice and maybe a treat or two because I couldn't resist! I recommend this place, especially for folks in Oakville and West Mississauga. The staff there are so friendly and fun! You're guaranteed a pleasant experience!

Update on Local Halloween Houses

I just looked up Solingate Manor "Oakville Haunted House" and that house begins operating on October 21. So that tells me that we can start touring Halloween-decorated houses in two weeks.

To plan where to go check out Active Parents for the "Best Decorated Halloween Houses with Maps and Photos." It's a bit annoying because of the ads, but it's still a great list of places to go check out Halloween decorated homes,

Issue #89 Good Evening And what can I tell you? Thanksgiving is over, university kids are back to school, and now you're wondering - do I dress up for Halloween this year? And just for fun I looked up what's going to be popular this year and you guessed it ... Barbie and Ken! Before I begin with what's coming up, I wanted to follow up on Pumpkins After Dark. I got a chance to go and see it. It was amazing! As soon as we got out of the car in the dark parking lot, we could hear spooky cackling...

Julie (Going-Places) at Pumpkins After Dark

Issue #87 Hello Going-Places Gallivanters! Almost October, and I'm in the apple pie and pumpkin spice latte kind of spirit. Speaking of which, have you seen this hilarious Ryan Reynolds ad? 🀣🀣🀣 In the fall, I'm bracing for winter. I like putting on my homemade oversized sweaters or ponchos and checking out the bright and colourful leaves before they drop and then all the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray ... 🎡. (Mamas and Papas refererence) And what can I tell you? Thanksgiving is around...
