Good Evening

And what can I tell you? I was strolling through downtown Oakville last week and stopped by Piazza Bistro. It turns out Piazza Bistro is re-inventing and they were introducing their new menu! As luck would have it, I got a chance to taste many of their new offerings!

See my article and delicious photos of Piazza Bistro's New Menu Delights; you won't believe what they are up to now!

Trail of the Week

Morrison Creek Trail

Ok, so if you're looking for a really nice daytime walk this week, I'll recommend an easy stroll at Morrison Creek Trail in Oakville.

I've been to this one with my dog. This is a pleasant, short, 2.7km walk. You can take the branch leading north if you want to extend it. You can also follow the creek, head west, cross Upper Middle Rd, and keep going on what's considered Morrison Valley Trail (about 8.5km).

So the Morrison Creek Trail is generally considered an easy route, and it takes an average of 34 min to complete.

This is a popular trail for birding, hiking, and walking. You can check out this route on Alltrails.

Announcement For the Oakville Folks:

In case you're wondering, windrow is that awful tough-to-shovel pile of snow left at the end of our driveways after the plow goes by.

Do you know someone (a senior or person with a disability) who could use help with snow windrow clearing? The Town of Oakville asks that they register for Oakville's winter service by Nov 23.

Julie (Going-Places) at Pumpkins After Dark

Issue #87 Hello Going-Places Gallivanters! Almost October, and I'm in the apple pie and pumpkin spice latte kind of spirit. Speaking of which, have you seen this hilarious Ryan Reynolds ad? 🀣🀣🀣 In the fall, I'm bracing for winter. I like putting on my homemade oversized sweaters or ponchos and checking out the bright and colourful leaves before they drop and then all the leaves are brown, and the sky is gray ... 🎡. (Mamas and Papas refererence) And what can I tell you? Thanksgiving is around...
